Tony Floro

Owner, Licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer

Tony is a fifth-generation owner and funeral director. He supervises the daily operations of the funeral home, serves as our embalmer, and is our head monument consultant. Outside of the funeral home, Tony serves as Lincoln County Deputy Coroner and is an active member of the Kentucky Coroner's Association and the Mass Fatality Response Team. He has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Morehead State University and an Associate Degree in Mortuary Science from Mid- America College of Funeral Service. Tony is married to Jessica Douglas Floro, and they have three children: Gabe, Bella, and Lucca. He enjoys camping, scuba diving, and spending time with his family. He is a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Moreland.

Jessica Floro

Licensed Funeral Director

Jessica Douglas Floro is a licensed Funeral Director earning that distinction in 2018. She is a graduate of Boyle County High School and Georgetown College where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and Communications with a focus in Accounting. She is a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Moreland. Jessica is married to Tony, and they have 3 children: Gabe, Bella and Lucca. She serves our families in multiple capacities and considers it an honor to serve the families of our communities during their most difficult times.

Karen Pruitt Floro

Owner and Licensed Funeral Director

Karen grew up in the funeral business. As a child, she and her parents, Dot and Dirck Pruitt, lived upstairs in the old Pruitt Funeral Home building. A retired Registered Nurse, she attended the University of Kentucky and was a graduate of Good Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing. She has worked at various hospitals, including the Intensive Care Units at Ephraim McDowell and Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, AK. Most of her nursing was done at Good Samaritan in Lexington, where she loved working in the Coronary Care Unit. She also served as Director of Youth Ministries at Centenary Methodist in Danville for over 25 years. Karen was licensed as a funeral director in 2000. She is married to Bob Floro, is the mother of 2 sons, Tony and Mike, and has 5 grandchildren. She feels her experience as a nurse and youth minister makes her a better funeral director. She loves UK Basketball and tries to attend as many games as possible. Any other spare time is spent with her grandchildren, Gabriel, Bella, Mia, Lucca, and Mox. She is a member of Centenary Methodist in Danville, where she coordinates the Barnabas Pal Program for college students and serves on the Nurture and Worship Committees.

Robert Floro

Licensed Funeral Director

Bob Floro is a Licensed Funeral Director and participates in all aspects of the business. He has been a staff member with W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home since 2010. He was previously in the health care industry for over 50 years. He has owned and managed medical equipment businesses, held an Associate Professor position at the University of Kentucky, and held board and membership positions in AARC, ALA of KY, AHA , ISRC , KSRC, KMESA, and IAMES. Bob holds a Master of Science in Leadership from the Ken Blanchard College of Business, Grand Canyon University, a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Eastern Kentucky University, and an Associate Degree in Science from the University of Kentucky In addition to his funeral service licensure, he is a Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care. Outside the funeral home, Bob is Vice-Chair of the Lincoln County (KY) Ambulance Board, is active in church and community choirs, and is active in his church serving on multiple committees and as a Sunday School teacher, Bob and Karen have two adult sons, Tony (Owner - WL Pruitt Funeral Home and Monument Company) and Mike [Principal Mercer County (KY) High School], and five grandchildren.

Gabriel Floro

Owner and Licensed Funeral Director

Gabe Floro, son of Tony & Jessica, is the Pruitt family's sixth-generation licensed funeral director and co-owner. Alongside his duties at the funeral home, he manages and operates our on-site crematory. Being the son of Tony and Jessica Floro, Gabe has grown up in the funeral industry. Gabe began working in a part-time capacity at the W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home when he was 11 years old and was brought on full-time in March of 2023. On June 4th of, 2025, he received his Funeral Director's License and became a partner. On top of his career at the funeral home, Gabe serves our country as a Sergeant in the Kentucky Army National Guard. He is simultaneously pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Christian Leadership at Boyce College and works part-time at the Borden Mortuary Service in Louisville. He looks forward to continuing to carry on the Pruitt Legacy as the sixth generation of the W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home.

The Late Robert L. Ellis

Licensed Funeral Director

Bobby grew up across the street from the Pruitt family and began working at the funeral home washing cars when he was 13 years old. Throughout his life, he has always worked part-time at the funeral home, driving ambulances when we ran the ambulance service, and assisting with removals, visitations, and funeral services. After retiring from ATR in 2004, he became a full-time employee at W.L. Pruitt and received his funeral directors license in 2007. He is married to Brenda Higgins Ellis. He enjoys UK Basketball, collecting John Deere tractors, and spending time with his grandson, Lucian. He is a member of Hustonville Christian Church where he serves as deacon and trustee. Bobby passed on to be with the Lord in 2025.

Mary Ann Wilder Brown

Licensed Funeral Director & Monument Design Spec.

Mary Ann Wilder Brown has been serving the families in the Central Kentucky area for many years. Her primary role at W.L. Pruitt is to help families design the perfect monument for their loved one. Farris Marcum

Licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer

Farris Marcum, licensed funeral director and embalmer, is a 1985 graduate of Lincoln County High School, 1990 graduate of Mid-America College of Mortuary Science, a board member and former president of the KY Coroner’s Association, serves on the Mass Fatality Incident Response Team, and Buffalo Springs Cemetery Board member. He currently serves as the Lincoln County Coroner and is a loan officer at PBK Bank. He is married to Evonna Mullins Marcum. They have 2 children, Tyler Chase Marcum and Chelsea Elizabeth Marcum. He enjoys U.K. sports, landscaping, and the outdoors. He is a member of Stanford Baptist Church. He's been affiliated with W.L. Pruitt since 2009 and serves this community well.

Megan Lyons

Licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer

Megan Gilliam Lyons is a Licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer. She brings great care and compassion to the funeral business. She is a graduate of Boyle County High School and John A. Gupton College in Nashville. Megan and her husband, Kyle, live in Boyle County with their children: Landon, Beau, Maggie, and Kit. Megan enjoys spending time with family and friends. She also loves traveling, being outdoors, and working around her home. She is honored to serve the community and the families in their time of need.

Brenda Ellis

Ambassador

Brenda is a native of Lincoln County, and currently resides in the Moreland KY community. She has been assisting with funeral home activities for over 40 years. Brenda is a Certified Teacher, having served in full and part time capacities for over 50 years. She is an active member of the Hustonville Christian Church where she serves in multiple capacities.

Bella Floro

Monument Design Assistant

Bella Floro, daughter of Tony & Jessica, is a 2023 graduate of Danville Christian Academy, where she spent her time playing volleyball and cheerleading. In addition to academics and sports, she enjoyed time assisting the teachers with the "littles" in the younger classrooms. Bella has been working in the monument company, learning to design monuments and prepping monuments for production. She's currently training to run our impact etcher, which will allow us to produce high-quality etching on-site. She also attends Eastern Kentucky University, pursuing a degree in Elementary Education. She is a member of New Hope Baptist church and volunteers in the children's department. She enjoys going to the lake and riding horses.
