Obituary

William "Billie" B. Myers, 95, of Danville passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025. Born in Moreland on May 13, 1929, he was the son of the late William Bertram Myers and Marie Wheeldon Myers.

Billie was retired from Matthews International. He was a member of Moreland Christian Church and had served as a deacon. Billie was passionate about Jesus and trains. He loved reading his Bible and enjoyed railfanning.

He was survived by his sons: Sammy (Sandy) Myers of Danville, Stephen (Cindy) Myers of Danville, and Billy (Laura) of Louisville; daughters: Jane (William) Hedden of Frankfort, Joyce Myers of Danville, and Stephanie Haley of Danville; 9 grandchildren: Billy, Phyllis, Dale, Steven, Isaac, William, Landon, Makenna, and Joseph; and 16 great-grandchildren: Hayley, Jordy, Zach, Brayden, Kody, Kamron, Kason, Shayden, Kaylee, Alex, Hunter, Layken, Hannah, Luke, Zyler, and Maverick. He also leaves behind a wonderful friend, Joe Berry, his wife, Bethany, and their children, Conner, Parker, and Addison who was a special prayer warrior to Bill.

Billie was preceded in death by his wife, Mable Cox Myers.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home with Visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.  Burial will follow in Hustonville Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Landon Myers, Joseph Wilson, William Myers, Steven Myers, Joe Berry, and Trevor Collins.
