Willard Glynn "Bud" Trayner, 84, of Stanford passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2026. Born in Dayton, Ohio on May 29, 1942, he was the son of the late Willard B. and Lucille Faye Wilcher Trayner.
Bud worked for Devoe Paint Store before retiring from Ace Hardware in Danville after many years of dedicated service. He was a graduate of Bryan Station High School in Lexington and a faithful member of Junction City Wesleyan Church. A devoted Christian, Bud loved the Lord and lived his faith each day. He was a loving husband, an adoring father, and cherished his family above all else. An avid Civil War enthusiast and history buff, he enjoyed learning about and sharing stories of the past. Bud will be remembered for his kind heart, unwavering faith, and deep love for his family.
Bud is survived by his devoted daughter, Traci Trayner of Stanford; twin sister, Lynn and her the late husband, John "Dick" Keys of Illinois; cousin, Thomas Combs of Stanford; and nephews: Kevin and David Keys, both of Illinois.
In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by his spouse, Wanda J. Wilson Trayner; and his cousin, Marie Scott.
Visitation is 11:00am-1:00pm, Saturday, August 8, 2026, at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 1:00pm at the funeral home with Bro. Bobby Tolson officiating. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kevin Keys, David Keys, Jim Mckenzie, David Shearer, Johnny Coffman, Jack Hazlett, and Matt Schulte. Honorary pallbearers are Gloria Gipson, Bobby Tolson, Jerry Wilson, and Mike Simpson.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Junction City Wesleyan Church.
