Samuel Wayne Reed 71, of Hustonville passed away on Tuesday, July 13, 2021.  Born June 4, 1950, he was the son of the late Raymond Earl Reed and Wilma Jean Burkett Allen. Wayne was a member of Elllisburg Baptist Church and a US Army Veteran, serving in Korea during the Vietnam Era.  He was an independent truck driver and he loved trading old cars.

In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Means Reed. He is survived by his son, Jason Reed (Caron Reed) and daughters, Angela Reed and Amanda (Jason) Robbins, all of Hustonville; brothers, Raymond Reed, Jr of Danville and Johnny Reed of Hustonville; sisters, Joyce Johnson and Janie "Dolly" Reed, both of Hustonville; seven grandchildren: Cole Reed, Cailyn Reed, Cade Reed, Haley Dotson, Jasey Reed, Clay Reed, and Zack Duncan; and two great grandchildren, Collier Reed and Colter Reed.

Visitation is 6-9pm, Thursday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home.

Funeral Service is 1pm, Friday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. Burial is in Reed Cemetery with Military Honors by American Legion Post 18.

Pallbearers are Cole Reed, Cade Reed, Rex Snow, Devan Burton, Wayne Bostic, and Johnny Reed.  Honorary pallbearers are Jasey Reed, Clay Reed, Cailyn Reed, Haley Dotson, and Zack Duncan.
