Wanda Carol Nutgrass Whitaker, 72, of Louisville passed away on Friday, October 23, 2020.   Born May 3, 1948, she was the daughter of Mary Ann Dunn Gover of Somerset and the late Albert Harold Nutgrass. She was also preceded in death by a son, Russell Gay Whitaker.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Greg Whitaker; daughters: Heather (Kerry) Metts and Brandi (John) Sanders, both of Louisville; sister, Barbara (Reggie) Chaney of Somerset; and six grandchildren:  Grace Metts, Wyatt Metts, William Sanders, Waylon Metts, Hilari Sanders, and Weston Metts.

Wanda was a graduate of Hustonville High School and Spalding University.  She was an avid UK and NASCAR fan and loved to read and write poems and stories.  She was also a member of Hikes Point Christian Church and retired from General Electric.  Most importantly, she was a collector of friends.

Visitation is 3:30-6:30 pm, Monday at Hikes Point Christian Church in Louisville.  Funeral Service will follow at 6:30 pm with Rev. Jeff Wallace officiating.  Burial will be at 11:30 am, Tuesday at Hustonville Cemetery in Hustonville, KY.  W.L.
