Wanda Lucille Kaufman Jones, 82, of Danville passed away surrounded by family on Friday, February 7, 2025.  Born May 8, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Edith Sears Kaufman. In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Herschell Clyde Jones and siblings: Monroe Peck, Ed Peck, Chelcie Griffin, Maxine Peck, and Faye Rousey.

Wanda had attended First Christian Church in Junction City where she taught Bible School, Sunday School, helped with meals, and served as custodian.  More recently, she attended the Living Water Worship Centre in Danville.  She retired from Junction City School after working 25 years in the cafeteria.  Wanda enjoyed fishing, gardening, growing flowers, and was an excellent cook.  She loved her family and liked attending all their events. She was always there to lend a hand…cleaning up behind everyone!

Wanda is survived by her daughters, Lisa F. Phillips and Terry L. (Stephen) Dismuke, and son, Jeffery Clyde Jones, all of Junction City; 5 grandchildren: Joshua Phillips, Cheyenne (Andrew) Jennings, Shelby (Jeremy) Carter, Jeremy Jones, and Jordan (Destiny) Jones; and 3 great-grandchildren:  Abel Jennings, Lula Carter, Adalee Carter, and a fourth on the way.

Visitation is 12 PM-2 PM Tuesday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home.  Funeral Service will follow at 2 PM Tuesday with Bro. Steve Dismuke and Bro. Rick Smale officiating.  Pallbearers are Joshua Phillips, Jeremy Jones, Jordan Jones, Andrew Jennings, Jeremy Carter, and Mark Rousey.  Burial is at Junction City Cemetery.  A Guestbook is available at www.wlpruitt.com
