Walter Ted Gipson, Jr., 61, of Junction City, passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2026. Born in Danville on January 23, 1965, he was the son of the late Walter Gipson, Sr. and Judith Edwards Naylor.

Ted was a member of Moreland Christian Church. Ted liked drag racing, loved his grandchildren and his dog, Paddington. Ted also enjoyed spending time with his extended family at Green Light.

Ted is survived by his wife of 39 years, Sue Harris Gipson of Junction City, son, Teddy (Stephanie) Gipson of Hustonville; daughter, Katlyn (Craig) Noland of Junction City; brother, Tim (Dianna) Gipson of Nicholasville; grandchildren: Caylei Gipson, Paxton Gipson, Allie Noland, Sophie Noland, and Waelyn Gipson; and his favorite sis, Elaine Harris of Moreland.

In addition to his parents, Ted is preceded in death by a grandchild, Baby Gipson. 

Visitation is 5:00 PM-8:00 PM, Thursday, September 10, 2026, and 11:00 AM-1:00PM, Friday, September 11. 2026, at W. L. Pruitt Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Friday, September 11, 2026, at 1:00 PM with Pastor George Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Junction City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Teddy Gipson, Derek Mastin, Craig Noland, Ethan Wilson, Steve Lynn, Adam Boyd, and Tim Scott. Honorary pallbearers are Tim Gipson, Kenny Baldwin, and Junior Campbell.
