Vondalee Winfree Yates, 83, of Danville passed away Monday, July 26, 2021 at home.  She was born on September 27, 1937 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late George W. and Mildred Bradley Winfree.  She was retired from Genesco and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Danville.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilburn "Sug" Yates, and her grandson, Eric Reed.  She is survived by her son, Jerry (Pam) Noel of Gravel Switch, her daughter, Eugenia Weakley, of Moreland, 3 grandchildren: Chuck Reed, Shawn Noel, and Jeremy Noel; 4 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
