Obituary

James Travis "Tubby" Key, 42, of Perryville, went to meet his Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 18, 2025. Born in Danville on May 27, 1982, he was the son of Barbara Key of Columbia and George Key of Moreland.

Travis graduated from Lincoln County High School in 2001 where he played football. He had worked at the Dairy Dip in Moreland, at Centre College as a groundskeeper, and once had his own lawn business. For the past 24 years, Travis has worked for UPS as a driver. He loved his horses, especially Ruger, and his dog, Kane.

In addition to his parents, Travis is survived by his fiancé, Kayla Zumo, of Perryville; brother, Jonathan (Shannon) Key of Glasgow; nephew, Levi Clark of Campbellsville; Stephen and Lecia True, Jonathan (Shanna) True and daughter, Scarlett, and Laura True Asbery and son, Silas, who were his second family.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Tommy and Jane Pike, and paternal grandparents, George Wallace and Bessie Key.

Visitation is 5-8 PM Friday, January 24, 2025, and 12-2 PM Saturday, January 25, 2025, at W. L. Pruitt Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Saturday at 2 PM with Bro. Chris Brummett officiating. Honorary pallbearers are his UPS coworkers.
