Obituary

Thomas Lee "Tommy" Maddox, 66, of Hustonville passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2022.  Born November 3, 1956, he was the son of Doris Swearinger Maddox of Butchertown and the late Hurshel Maddox.

Tommy was an avid deer hunter and enjoyed farming and any time spent on a tractor.  He was a horseman and enjoyed a good game of Rook or horseshoes.  Tommy loved people.  He could strike up a conversation with anyone and made friends easily. He was baptized in 2003 by Bro. Marvin Lane, pastor of the Church of the First Born.

Tommy is survived by his daughter, Kayla (Chris) Jeffries of Hustonville; son, Kyle Thomas Maddox of Hustonville; long time companion, Marsha Salyers of Casey County; brothers, Michael Maddox (Shirley Bachelor) of Butchertown and Allen (Kathy) Maddox of Harris Creek; sisters, Jo Ann Terrell and Peggy Appleby, both of Butchertown; and his grand dog, Jasper.

Visitation is 11am-2pm, Monday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home.  Funeral Service will follow at 2 pm with Darin Lane officiating.  Burial is at Butchertown Cemetery. Pallbearers are David Logan, Leonard Guenther, John Pruitt, Chris Jeffries, Jamie Statham, Mikel Short, and Toby Short.  Honorary pallbearers are Michael Maddox, Chester Swearinger, Shane Salyers, Denise Moore, and Willis Lane.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Friendship Baptist Church.
