Clyde Steven Pike, 69, of Mt. Salem passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, August 8, 2026. Born in Stanford on April 16, 1957, he was the son of the late Clyde Edward and Bessie Dunn Pike.

Steve was saved and a member of Mt. Salem Baptist Church. He found joy in the simple things in life and loved spending time camping and working in the yard. Steve especially enjoyed sharing a good joke and bringing laughter to those around him. His sense of humor and ability to make others smile will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Steve is survived by his wife of 48 years, Virginia "Ginny" McQueary Pike of Mt. Salem; son, Craig Steven (Gina) Pike of NV; daughter, Kimberly Merideth Cool of Georgetown; sisters: Betty (Larry) Smith of Mt. Salem, Tina Rhea of Junction City, and Sherry Sullivan of Mt. Salem; brother, Michael Pike of Yosemite; grandchildren: Timothy Meredith, Shane Meredith, Cannon Cool, and Charlotte "Charlie" Pike; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Patricia Pike; niece, Wendi Smith; and nephew, Larry Joe Wheeler.

Visitation is 12:00-1:00 PM, Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Mt. Salem Baptist Church. Memorial service will follow at 1:00 PM with Bro. Kevin Pittman officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Joseph Stanley, Scott Stanley, Daniel Stanley, Terry Sullivan, Larry Smith, Randy "Shotgun" McQueary, Jeff Bastin, Timothy Meredith, and Shane Meredith.
