Sheila Naomi Cox Richards, 83, of Stanford passed away Monday, November 21, 2022.  She had been a resident of Stanford Care and Rehabilitation for 27 years and had been there longer than any other resident, and the family would like to express their appreciation for her great care throughout years.  Born on February 15, 1939 in Boyle County, she was the daughter of the late Alvie Cox and Melinda Sinkhorn Cox.

She was a member of Ellisburg Baptist Church. She was an avid UK fan, enjoyed coloring, cooking, and being outdoors.

Sheila is survived by 5 sons: Louis Richards of Liberty, Jesse (Jennifer) Richards of Jacktown, A.C. (Barb) Richards of Hustonville, Claud (Jennifer) Richards of Stanford, and David Richards of Liberty; 2 daughters: Melinda (Jeff) Garland of Perryville and Susan (the late Garnett) Coffman of Liberty; 16 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2022, with Bro. Bud Stidham officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday.  Burial will be in Hustonville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matthew, Ryan, and Brian Richards, Daniel Clarkson, Scott and Michael Coffman, and Tommy and Ronnie Goode.
