Shawn Keith Durham, 36, of Danville passed away peacefully on Friday, April 22, 2022. Born October 20, 1985, he was the son of Charles "Chuck" and Tammy Durham of Moreland. He was preceded in death by his brother and best friend, Chucky Durham, and grandparents, Matthew Barbour and Vivian and Charles Durham.   Survivors include his wife, Courtney Durham; sons: Shawn Hunter Durham, Cameron Gilpin, Jared Moore, and Jeremy Moore, all of Danville; maternal grandmother, Louellen Byrd of Stanford; sisters: Heather Durham (Dennis Hurl) of Frankfort, Melissa Durham of Moreland, and Elizabeth (Michael) Angeloff of Danville; niece, Lily Durham of Moreland; nephews: Dylan Durham of Lancaster, Blake Durham of Lexington, Trevor Rayborn of Moreland, and Brylee Murphy of Harrodsburg.

Shawn was a very loved and respected man. Simple pleasures in life brought him great joy. With the guidance of his dad, he could build or fix anything.  He enjoyed taking things apart - just to learn how to put them back together.  Shawn stayed at home with his boys, passing on his vast knowledge of mechanics, and also homeschooling his son. Traveling to the beach was his paradise.

Visitation is 6-8 pm Tuesday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. Funeral Service is 11 am Wednesday with burial at Buffalo Springs Cemetery.  Pallbearers are Dennis Hurl, Bryan Gaskin, Dailon Gaskin, Jeremy Moore, Willie Durham, and Joshua Villanueva.
