Sean Demetrius Jones, 43, of Danville passed away at home on Monday, January 2, 2023.  Born on January 17, 1979 in Clearwater, Florida, he was the son of the late Vaughn Charles Jones, Sr. and Dinah Gayle Taylor Jones. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Tonya Jones.

Sean enjoyed fishing, hunting, and was an avid UK fan.  He was a loving husband, adoring father, and devoted brother and uncle. Sean will be remembered and missed by those who knew him for his strength, contagious laughter, smile, telling jokes, and playing pranks. Previously, Sean had worked for the Danville Independent School System for 14 years and enjoyed and felt great purpose in his work there. By investing time mentoring and encouraging students, he made a difference in the many lives he touched.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth K. Jones; 2 sons: KeSean and Kingston Jones; daughter, Kaydence Jones, brother, Vaughn (Rebekah) Jones, Jr.; nieces and nephews: Summer, Kirah, Keghan, and Kaden Jones; great-nephews: Dartanya and Davion Coleman; mother-in-law, Jean (the late Dallas) Coffman, brother-in-law, Joshua Coffman; and many other relatives who loved him.
