Ruth Frances Baugh Johnson, 80, of Danville passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2025.  Born October 16, 1944, she was the daughter of the late James Allen and Ruth Frances Westerfield Baugh.

Ruth was a member of Stanford Nazarene Church.  She retired from Jackson Chair and then continued to do upholstery with Lee Belcher.  She enjoyed sewing and quilting.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy Lee Johnson; brothers:  Cleo Crowe, Cliffton Baugh, Garnett Baugh, and Ernest Baugh; and sisters: Virginia Cooke, Dolly Goins, and Becky Baugh; and 2 infants.

She is survived by her daughters, Monica (David) McDaniel of Danville and Carmen Preston of Danville; son, William Allen (Julie) Preston of Junction City; sisters, Mary Ann Hampton of Boyle County and Teresa (Ricky) Lynn of Mercer County; 5 grandchildren:  Courtney McDaniel, Jeremy (Brittany) McDaniel, Ashley Preston, Ruby Jolene Preston, and Jaylon Preston; and 6 great-grandchildren: Tinslee, Jeb, Hunter, Skylar, Isaiah, and Lucas.

Visitation is 5-8 PM Thursday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home.  Funeral Service is at 11 AM Friday at the funeral home with Jason Coulter officiating.  Burial is at Parksville Cemetery.  A Guestbook is available at www.wlpruitt.com.
