Ruby Elizabeth "Ruru" Richards, 90, of Hustonville passed peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, April 5, 2022.  Born August 25, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Dorothy Snow Richards.  She was also preceded in death by her brothers: Vernon, Kenneth, Harold, and Horace and sisters: Kathryn, Ina, and Millie.

She is survived by brothers, Larry Richards of Harrodsburg and Tony (Melissa) Richards of Casey County; sister, Audrey Carman of Kings Mountain; and nieces and nephews, including Carin Cocanougher of Harrodsburg and Amanda (Kris) Merkel of Hustonville, who had been her caregivers.

Ruby had worked as a caregiver and was the "best baby rocker."  She had a hand in helping to raise three generations of children.  Ruby was a member of Slate Hill Methodist Church.

Visitation is 5-8 pm, Sunday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home.  Her Funeral Service is 1 pm, Monday with Bro. Vola Brown officiating.  Burial is in Hustonville Cemetery. Pallbearers are Tony Richards, Hunter Richards, Parker Richards, Noah Cocanougher, Blake Carman, Mason Cocanougher, Kris Merkel, Dustin Richards, and Charlie Richards. Honorary pallbearers are Darrell Burchett, Marty Clark, Danny Richards, Carlos Burchett, Brian Carman, and Austin Cocanougher.
