Ronald Dean Pemberton, 81, of Junction City passed away Friday, August 1, 2025. Born in Mount Salem on December 14, 1943, he was the son of the late Mabel Hughes Pemberton and Jesse Pemberton.

He  retired from The Levy Company where he had worked for over 30 years. He began his career as a heavy equipment mechanic and eventually began the shop foreman and then the equipment manager. Ron enjoyed working on antique cars, caring for his lawn, and collecting antiques.

Ronald is survived by his wife of 63 years, Kathleen Schrader Pemberton; son, Patrick Joseph Pemberton of Junction City; sister: Brenda Dwight of Indiana; and granddaughter: Alexis Pemberton of IN.

He is preceded in death by son, Morgan Sean Pemberton; brothers: Vernon and Bobby Pemberton; and sisters: Peggy Musick, Vonda Allen, and Veda Houchin.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to be made to the Danville Humane Society.

The visitation will be on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, from 6-8 PM and the funeral will be on 11 AM Wednesday, August 6, 2025, all at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. Rev. David Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in Hustonville Cemetery.
