Roger Clay Vaughn, 83, of Stanford, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2026. Born in Carlisle, Kentucky on September 20, 1942, he was the son of the late William Daniel "Billie" Vaughn, Sr. and Hester Fleida Irene Woodard.

He enjoyed fishing, going to Florida, and traveling with his wife.

Roger is survived by his wife of 39 years, Bonnie Jean Maples Vaughn of Stanford; children: Denise Louise Vaughn (Richard Gardner), Vickey Terese Vaughn (Russell Wayne "Rusty" Switzer), Tina Michele Vaughn (Jay Dee Tackett); stepson, Steven (Donnett) Burnett Watson; brother, Roy Thomas Vaughn (Barbara Willoughby); grandchildren: Tabetha Markell, Sammijo Bussell, Christine Coleman, Cassy Shaw, Danelle Dennis, and Andrew Hensley; step-grandchildren: Steven Cooper (Tiffany), Dustin Watson, and Stephanie Watson; great grandchildren: Cheyenne, Layla, Madelynn, Caden, Emma, Sara, Taylor, Andrew, Austin, Trey, CJ, Lena, Kenzie, and Bohdie; step great grandchildren: Alyssa, Bentley, Gracie, and Lincoln; and great-great-grandchild, Gracelynn.

In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his siblings: twins: William Daniel Vaughn, Jr and Wilma Irene Vaughn Puckett, Robin Ray Vaughn (Roger's Twin), Larry Douglas Vaughn, and Dallas Dean Vaughn Sr.
