Roger Bandy, 84, of Danville passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024. Born February 7, 1939, he was the son of the late L.L. and Celia M. Rogers Bandy.
Roger was a US Navy Veteran and a lifelong truck driver. He was a member of Bluegrass Pike Baptist Church. Roger loved God, his family, and Florida.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Barry Lee Bandy, and sisters, Dollye M. Bandy and Edith I. Webster. He is survived by a grandson, Gregory Blake (Kellan) Bandy of Harrodsburg; a great-grandson, Bowen Lee Bandy; and sister, Sandra B. (Jim) King of Danville.
Visitation is 6-8 pm Wednesday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 10:30 am Thursday at the funeral home with Bro. Travis Alltop officiating. Burial will be at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Pallbearers are Scott King, Jeffrey King, Luke King, Bro. Stanley Burgan, J. D. Smith, and Bill LeTourneau. Honorary pallbearers are David Votaw, Tom Potts, Gary Douglas, and Tom Hogg. A Guestbook is available at www.wlpruitt.com.
