Robert Harlie King, 89, of Moreland went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 18, 2026. Born in Lincoln County on February 12, 1937, he was the son of the late George Harlie King and Edith Cooper King.

Robert retired from Corning Glass which later became Phillips Lighting after many years of service. Throughout his life, he also enjoyed farming. Robert was a devoted husband and caring friend who looked out for the needs of others.

Robert is survived by his wife of 69 years, Sudelle King; his son, Mark King of Lexington; his brother, Jim (Sandra) King of Danville; his sister, Beverly Devine of Florida; and many other family members and friends who will miss him.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his brothers, Bill King and Bryan King, and his sister, Juanita Hinshaw.

In accordance with Robert’s wishes, a private graveside service was held, officiated by Bro. Gary Douglas. Burial followed in Hustonville Cemetery.
