Robert Samuel "Nitz" Bishop, 91, of Moreland passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023.  Born April 16, 1931, he was the son of the late Joseph Carroll and Elizabeth McCormack Bishop.  He was a US Air Force Korean War veteran and a lifelong farmer. Nitz enjoyed fishing, dove hunting, and traveling.

Survivors include his son, Robert Samuel Bishop of Moreland; daughter, Carol (Mike) Maples of Moreland; three grandchildren: Willie (Rachel) Bishop of Danville, Samantha (John) McFerron of Russell Springs, and Zane (Mia) Maples of Vero Beach, FL; six great grandchildren: Maddox and Lillie Bishop, Christian Bishop, Brayden Todd, and Emma and J.J. McFerron; and his companion, Joan Clark of Moreland.

Visitation is 11am-1pm, Monday, March 20, 2023 at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home.  Funeral Service will follow at 1pm, Monday with Rev. Ricky Davis officiating.  Pallbearers are Billy Griffin, Willie Bishop, Christian Bishop, Bryan Gover, Johnny Cooper, Zane Maples, and John McFerron.  Burial is at Buffalo Springs Cemetery.  Military Honors by Casey County Veterans Honor Guard.
