Richard Alan Darrough Sr, 81, of Stanford, Kentucky passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, December 24, 2025. He was surrounded by loved ones.

Richard (Dick) was born April 3, 1944, in Beech Grove, Indiana, to Fred and Imogene (Cook) Darrough. He lived in a few different states over the years. Eventually residing in Kentucky as his permanent home state with his sister. He enjoyed and loved every moment as a motorcyclist for many years. He was also an avid reader, enjoyed his favorite tv shows as well as many Word Find Puzzles. Richard was able to travel the United Stated during his lengthy career as truck driver. He retired in the mid 2000's. During his retirement Richard liked spending time at the local coffee shop where he met up with his swapping stories and reading newspapers. As well as spending time with family.

Richard is survived by his daughter Kim (Jeff) Wilson, grandchildren, Scott Wilson, Ashley Wilson, Richard Wilson and Joseph Wilson; all of Ventura, California; Son, Richard Alan Darrough Jr, grandson, Mason Darrough, great grandchildren Miles and Melrose Darrough all of San Diego, California; granddaughter Destani Cuccio of Ventura, California. Also survived by his sister Sandy Woodrow of Stanford, Kentucky; four nieces, seven great-nephews, five great-nieces, one great great-nephew, one great great-niece.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Imogene (Cook) Darrough, brother Edward Darrough.

Visitation and gathering of friends will be Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 1:00pm-3:00pm.
