Ray Goode, 81, of Danville, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2024. Born in Liberty on October 12, 1943, he was the son of the late Bryan and Annie Long Goode.

Ray was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church. He had owned and operated Ray Goode's Clean up Shop.

Ray is survived by his wife of 57 years, Myrtle Coffman Goode; daughter, Shelia (Junior) Daugherty of Alum Springs; sons, Anthony (Sherry) Goode of Lancaster, and Donald Goode (Beverly Wells) of Junction City; sisters: Beulah Smith of London, Linda Wren of Danville, and Lula Raley of Mitchellsburg; grandchildren: Ashley (Wyatt) Gibbs of Danville, Kayla (Cassius) Floyd of Harrodsburg, Emily Daugherty of Alum Springs, and Ian Goode of Junction City; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his brothers: J.V. Goode, Cloyd Goode, Perry Goode, and Donald Goode; and sisters, Ann Eula Burus, and Lucille Goode.

Visitation is 5:00PM-8:00PM, Thursday at Gethsemane Baptist Church. Funeral service will be Friday at 11:00 AM with Bro. Steve James officiating. Burial will follow in Junction City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tony Hughes, Dewayne Taylor, Jimmy Lane, P.J. Feistritzer, Jr. Daugherty, and Leroy Hardin. Honorary Pallbearers are Ian Goode, Bob Allen, Darren Peckler, Bruce Petrie, Rodney Wren, Shane Wren, Ron Walls, and Tim Montgomery.
