Phillip Bruce Rousey, 70, of Danville passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022 at home. Born in Danville on May 5, 1951, he was the son of the late Phillip Rich Rousey and Geraldine Bandy Rousey. Bruce was a 1969 graduate of Danville High School and attended Western Kentucky University. He was a 38-year employee of Norfolk Southern Railroad. After retirement, he worked his fun job in Boyle County Court Security. Bruce was a member of First Baptist Church Danville. His passion was serving the Lord through mission work.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, JoAnn Mosley Rousey, two daughters, Monica (Mark) Walker of Junction City and Katie Layne of Danville; four grandchildren: Abigail (Aidan) Stewart-Hoskins, Andrew Dean, and Ava & Mason Layne; two sisters, Sandy (Wayne) Purdom of Louisiana and Debbie Ernst of Stanford; and one brother, James (Debbie) Rousey of Hustonville.

Visitation will be held at First Baptist Church, 1570 N. Danville Bypass, Danville, KY on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions are suggested to First Baptist Church Missions Fund, First Baptist Church Youth, or The Gideons International.
