Peggy Lee Ross Simpson, 80, of Hustonville passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2026.  Born January 15, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Herman Ross and Mable Southerland Ross Carey.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Wayne Simpson; brothers, Wayne Ross and Junior Carey; and sister, Dolly Pike.

Peggy was a devoted wife and a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt.  She enjoyed playing games on her iPad and loved Elvis.

Peggy is survived by her daughter, Vicky (Lee) Belcher of Hustonville and Cissy (Danny) Noe of Gravel Switch; son, Tony Simpson (Traci Vaught) of Hustonville; brother, Ray Ross of Danville; sisters:  Edith Simpson of Danville, Nona Carey of Junction City, and Freda Denson of Danville; 7 grandchildren: Glen "Bub" (Jessica) Williams, Curt (Tammy) Williams, Melody (Dylan) Smith, Kourtney (Gunner) Taylor, Misti (Chris) Sikes, Apryl Noe, and Sami Noe; 7 great grandchildren: Graci, Gavyn, Trevor, Dillon, Brooks, Bo, and Emerson, and special aunt, Effie Southerland of Hustonville.

Visitation is 11am-1pm, Monday, June 22, 2026, at W.L Pruitt Funeral Home with Bro. JR Fields officiating.  Funeral Service will follow at 1 pm with burial at Hustonville Cemetery.  Pallbearers are Tony Simpson, Lee Belcher, Curt Williams, Dylan Smith, Chris Sikes, and Tucker Vaught.  Honorary pallbearers are Glen Williams, James "Bo" Wilson, Ray Ross, Gunner Taylor, and Danny Noe.

The family wishes to thank all the special caregivers of Stanford Crossing that took excellent loving care of their mother.  They appreciate them so very much.
