Paulette Jones Allen, 77, of Harrodsburg passed away at her home on Tuesday, July 19, 2022. Born January 6, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Paula Marshall Jones. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John William "Johnny" Allen; brother, Woody Jones, and sister, Jackie Minks.
Paulette owned and co-managed Allen's Service and Towing for over fifty years. She was a member of Lexington Avenue Baptist Church, was a Kentucky Colonel, and a big Kentucky Wildcat basketball fan. She loved fishing, bowling, watching Western movies and Gone With the Wind, and spending time at the beach. Above all, she was intensely devoted to her family.
Survivors include her two sons, John William (Tammy) Allen, II of Harrodsburg and Kenneth Brian (Stephanie) Allen of Bardstown; two daughters, Christy Allen (Brent) Moseley of Harrodsburg and Nicole (Jerry) Farmer of Danville; two brothers, Gary Jones of Lexington and Keith (Wanda) Jones of Lexington; one sister, Vickie (Charlie) Perry of Danville; seven grandchildren: Ashley (Brandon) Truman of Nicholasville, Chris Allen of Danville (Kali Morris), Alix Allen of Danville, Colin (Maryssa) Moseley of Harrodsburg, Braden Moseley of Harrodsburg, Camden Moseley of Harrodsburg, and Derek Mattingly of Lexington; and six great grandchildren: Hope, Sterling, De`raya, Aubri, Lexie, Lynnlee, Nathan, and Maryana; and two great-great grandchildren, Tyson and Luna.
Visitation is 11am-1pm, Tuesday, July 26 at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. Funeral Service will follow at 1 pm with burial at New Salem Cemetery. Pallbearers are her grandsons: Chris Allen, Colin Moseley, Braden Moseley, and Camden Moseley, Sterling Farmer, and nephew, Garry Allen.
