Paul Dean Gibson, 71, of Danville passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2026. Born in Roanoke, Virginia on July 20, 1954, he was the son of the late William Henry and Virginia Elizabeth Gibson. In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his first wife, Connie Jo Gibson, and brother, Wayne Henry Gibson.
Paul retired from Motor Parts of America after many years of dedicated service. He enjoyed fishing, birdwatching, and watching classic Western movies, especially those starring John Wayne. An avid reader, he had a deep appreciation for history. Above all, Paul cherished his beloved dog, Abby, whom he affectionately called his "little girl." Abby preceded him in death, and their bond remained close to his heart throughout his life.
Paul is survived by his wife: Charlene "Charli" Davidson Gibson; daughters: Nikki (Jamie) Ferrell of Eubank and Rachelle (Chelsea) Davidson of Danville; brother: Chester Lewis (Valerie Cook) Gibson of Roanoke, Virginia; grandchildren: Chanler (Kami) Crabtree of Somerset, Jadynce Ferrell of Eubank, and Maddox Ferrell of Eubank; great-grandson: Cooper Crabtree of Somerset; brother-in-law: Craig (Mary Ann) Laferty of Roanoke, Virginia; and nieces and nephews.
