Mossie Marie Peyton Marshall, 90, of Moreland, passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2025. Born in Casey on January 24, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Gurtrude King Peyton.

Mossie loved gardening and crafts. She loved her family and was a caregiver her entire life.

Mossie is survived by her Survivors include her brothers: Anthony (Bertha) Petyon of Danville and Pete Peyton (Sue Koon) of Somerset; stepchildren: Wallace Marshall of Lexington and Rene (David) Russel of NC; special niece and caregiver, Sandra Camden and her son, Austin Gibson of Moreland; and special friend who was like a daughter, Colleen Bryant.

In addition to her parents, Mossie was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Marshall; brother, Benny Peyton; sisters: Wanda Turner and Demple Potts; and stepson, Tommy Marshall.

Visitation is 11:00am-1:00pm, Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 with Dr. James Miller officiating. Burial will be in Junction City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gary Green, Drew Smith, Kevin Drake, Jonathan Griffieth, Jaydon Lucciano, and Chris Lucciano. Honorary pallbearers are Joseph Smith, Donald Smith, Charlie Camden, and Austin Gibson.
