Modene Asbury, 80, of Danville passed away on Monday, February 10, 2025.  Born June 12, 1944, she was the daughter of the late John Lewis and Flora Lane Asbury.  In addition to her parents, Modene was also preceded in death by sisters, Loraine Darland and Lyda Asbury.

Modene retired from Boyle County Board of Education as a bus driver for special needs children.  She said her life had been "full".  She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandkids.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandy (Sam) Buckingham of Junction City; sons, Stanley Phillips of Mitchellsburg and Dale (Becky) Phillips of Forkland; sister, Phyllis Pendygraft of Junction City; and Gilbert (Connie) Asbury of Danville; 5 grandchildren: Jessica (Jammie) Renner, Tyler Stephens, Amanda (JC) Hanny, Cody (Dani) Phillips, and Cori Johnson; and 12 great-grandchildren.

To honor Modene's request, there will be no public services held.
