Obituary

Michael Bowman Dean, 75, of Stanford passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024.  Born September 4, 1948, he was the son of the late Paul and Agnes Puckett Dean.

Mike was a US Army veteran from 1969-1971, followed by 39 years of service with the KY Army National Guard.  He retired from the Boone National Guard Center in Frankfort.

Mike enjoyed riding horses with the Trail Pleasure Saddle Club and was a Mason for 41 years.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ruth Dean; sons: Larry Dean (Jill Calhoun) of Lawrenceburg, Michael (Sheri) Dean of Mt. Sterling, and Justin Dean of Stanford; 7 grandchildren: McKenna (Shane) Revel of Mt Sterling, Breanna (Marc) McGinnis of NC, Desi Dean (Caden Richards) of TN, Shianne Dean of Danville, Baylee Dean of Mt Sterling, Shae (Jes) Dean of Lexington, and Maura Dean (Charlie Casciola) of Lawrenceburg; 3 great grandchildren:  Carter, Sereniti, and Avery Dean; and step-mother, Gerri Dean of Russellville.

Visitation is 4-7 pm, Thursday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home with a Masonic Service at 7 pm.

A Graveside Committal Service will be held at Camp Nelson National Cemetery at 9 am, Friday with funeral procession leaving the funeral home at 8 am.

Memorial Contributions are suggested to the Masonic Lodge of your choice or to Trail Pleasure Saddle Club to sponsor a class at the horse show in Michael's memory, % Ruth Dean, 825 KY HWY 2141, Stanford, KY 40484.
