Obituary

On September 13, 2021 at the age of 61, Michael Theodore Austin was called to his heavenly home. Mike was born on December 31, 1959 to his parents, Theodore and Helen Osborne Austin of Newark, Ohio.

Michael is survived by his wife, Lisa Hightower Austin of Maine; three daughters, Carrie Hartsock and Sarah Yeager both of Florida, Chelsea Hightower of Texas; sister, Sharon (William F. "Bill") Woodrum of Hustonville; brother, Kenneth L. Austin of Texas; five grandchildren, Terry, Faith, Alissa and Allen Hartsock and Tyler Yeager; several nieces and nephews, Stefanie Padgett of Junction City, Jennifer (Bob) Hurt of Winchester, Erin Lewis of Winchester and William (Sarah) Woodrum of Danville. He is preceded in death by his mother Helen Osborne Austin, his father Theodore Austin, Jr and a brother, Ronald B. Austin.

Mike was a brilliant businessman, an entrepreneur and had worked extensively in the film industry for many years, he was a film producer, actor, and part owner of Auquist Productions, he and his brother, wrote, produced and directed their first film, Kent Oscar, Pl in Austin Texas. Later he produced From Cradle to the Grave, a film of the paranormal. Mike managed several movie theaters in many different states throughout his life. In his retirement years he pursed his love of working with Vintage Cars. A man of many talents who always looked to the future. Mike loved and gave his heart to others and touched many lives. He will be missed by many.
