Hustonville
Mary Evelyn Feistritzer Kirkpatrick, 92, of Hustonville went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 2, 2023. Born on July 24, 1931 in Hustonville, she was the daughter of the late Beatrice Feistritzer and Andrew "Andy" Edward Feistritzer, Jr.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Merriman Kirkpatrick, Sr., son, Mitchell Kirkpatrick, and brother, Philip Feistritzer.
Mary is survived by her son, William Merriman (Cynthia) Kirkpatrick, Jr., daughter, Barbara Jo (Matthew) Kirkpatrick Rogers; grandchildren: William Merriman (Bridgett) Kirkpatrick, III of Moreland, Melaney Ann (Chris Hogue) Martin of Parksville, Mitchell Leslie (Patricia) Kirkpatrick of Bonnieville, Nicholas Gordon Kirkpatrick of Shelbyville, Ashley Hayes (Todd) Shilow of Maryland, Katherine Merriman Rogers of California; great-grandchildren: Mitchell Riley Kirkpatrick and Michael Landon Kirkpatrick, Kennedy Cierra Kirkpatrick and William Tate Kirkpatrick, Christopher Brady Martin, Kelci Nichol Kirkpatrick, and Brinley Paige Shilow.
During the pandemic, her grandson gave her his dog, Leo. He brought her great joy and was a wonderful companion who helped her through some lonely times.
Mary was a member of Hustonville Baptist Church, the church she grew up in, where she served as organist/pianist for many years. From 1969-1993, she and her husband, Bill, had owned and operated Feistritzer Electric in Hustonville. Later in life, she became a CNA so she could help care for her mother-in-law at The Stanford House. Soon after, she studied to become a Med Tech because she felt the continued calling to care for others. The Lord had blessed Mary with many talents, and she strived to use those all for the glory of the Lord.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, August 6, 2023, at 5 p.m. at Hustonville Baptist Church with Bro. Andrew McGinnis officiating. The family will receive visitors Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service. W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
