Margaret Louise Green Edwards, 94, of Danville, formerly of Moreland passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2025. Born November 13, 1930, in Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Tina Honaker Green. In addition to her parents, Margaret was also preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Edwards; daughter, Judy Leamon; and stepson, Michael Edwards; brothers: Billy, Kermit, and Darrell; and sisters: Pauline, Joann, Linda, and Betty.
Margaret liked to quilt, crochet, and sew. She also enjoyed reading and listening to books, cooking, baking, and gardening. Margaret was a UK basketball and Detroit Tigers baseball fan. More than anything else, she loved talking to and spending time with her family.
Margaret is survived by 3 daughters, Lecia Hurt of Danville, Rhonda Edwards of Berea, and Kathy (Gary) Holman of Russellville; stepson, Danny (Sally) Edwards of VA; brother, Richard (Lucille) of VA; and sisters, Shelby Lowe and Mavis (Eugene) Baker, both of VA; 12 grandchildren: Erin (Chad Ricker) Bailey of Frankfort, Steven (Julie) Bailey of Louisville, Vince (Becky) Coppola of Danville, Melissa Coppola of CA, Carrie (John) Shanklin of Russellville, Sally (Jay) Graves of Adairville, Holly (Chase) Ely of Lexington, Beth Keeley of Frankfort, Phil (Catherine) Edwards of VA, Daniel Edwards of VA (Angel), Ashleigh Edwards of CA, and Katie (Dave) Stiltner of Lexington; 15 great grandchildren: Luca Ricker, Amy Lee, Curtis Bailey, Craigory (Kristen) Coppola, Caleb (Rachel) Coppola, Luke Shanklin, Allie Shanklin, Seth Graves, Abby Graves, Camilla Ely, Anthony Keeley (Ailly), Lucy Keith, Olive Stiltner, Alyssa (Travis) Camplin, and Lauren Browning; and 5 great-great grandchildren: Ada, Liam, Carter, Arya, Daniel, Zy, and Dax.
Visitation is 5-7 pm, Sunday, October 19, 2025, at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 12 pm, Monday with Rev. Ken Ward officiating. Burial will be at Junction City Cemetery. Pallbearers are Vince Coppola, Chase Ely, Mike Kondik, Rick Sinkhorn, Denny Belcher, and Caleb Coppola. Honorary pallbearer is Steven Bailey.
