Obituary

Lorene Wilson Crain Cooper, 95, of Moreland passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2024, in Danville. Born in Danville on June 8, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Henry Woodson and Annie Wilson McElroy Crain.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard M. Cooper, Jr.; brother, Kyle Crain; sister, Kathleen Russell; and a baby brother. Lorene was a member of Moreland First Baptist Church. She loved to be in church and rarely missed. She loved to bake and was known for her gingerbread boy cookies.

Lorene is survived by her daughter, Suzanne (the late Terry) Wesley of Liberty; 3 sons: Richard W. Cooper of Hustonville, Joe M. (Beverly) Cooper of Stanford, and Mike W. (Michelle) Cooper of Stanford; brother, Harold Crain of Cincinnati; 6 grandchildren: Chris (Jeannie) Cooper, Melanie (Tim Jr.) Bryant, Candace (Jeremy) McAninch, Chasity Howell, Matt Cooper, and Dylan Cooper; and 9 great-grandchildren: Morgan and Mallorie Cooper, Madison and TJ Bryant, Jansen and Gatlin McAninch, Colton and Cooper Howell, and Parker Cooper.

Visitation is from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM Tuesday, at W. L. Pruitt Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 1:00 PM with Bro. Eric Douglas officiating.  Burial will follow in Buffalo Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
