Linda Lou Propes Payton, 65, of Jamestown passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2024 in Somerset. Born on October 26, 1958 in Burgin, she was the daughter of the late Hubert Eugene Propers and Ruby Mae Barger Propes.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Payton; brothers, Edgar, Eugene, Robert Propes; sisters, Elaine Johnson and Alma Schmiers; infant sisters: Joyce Ann and Angela Mae Propes. She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly G. Propes, and grandson, Harley Stacy, brothers, Donald (Shirley) Propes of Liberty, Darrell (Phyllis) Propes of Waynesburg, and Norman Propes of Liberty; sister, Brenda Sue Luster of Danville; and several nieces and nephews.

Linda enjoyed spending time with family, being outside, and watching game shows. She was of the Pentecostal faith and received the Lord as her Savior 2 days before her passing.
