Obituary

Linda P. Bradshaw, 80, of Danville and beloved wife of John R. Bradshaw, Jr., went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, October 26, 2022. Born February 12,1942 in Racine, WI to her parents, Clancy Pritchett and Edna Crowley. She was also preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Graden and Nelda Stone Crowley, who were an integral part of her life as a child when she was part of the neighborhood group, which called themselves the "Smith Street Gang."

Linda was an avid reader and loved to travel. Her favorite mode of travel was exploring the world via Cruise Ships. From the fabulous dining options, exotic excursions, and showing her competitiveness in a game of Trivia, she enjoyed every minute. If given the option of living on a cruise ship full-time, she would have jumped at the chance.

When not out exploring the world on a cruise ship with her husband, Rod, and/or friends, you'd find her spending time with friends and family. She cherished her Tuesday lunch outings with her favorite people and then having special time with Grettle Smith on Thursdays at the Red Rooster. However, one of her most cherished times, was her daily talks with her son, Denis. She loved her friends and family so much.

While in high school, Linda started her work experience at Vaught's Corner Grocery. She also worked as a telephone operator for Southern Bell and later worked for Dr. James W. Ramey and Dr. R. Finley Hendrickson. Having an interest in real estate, she obtained her realtor license and began working for Caldwell Banker VIP Realty. A long-time member of her social sorority, Beta Sigma Phi, and most recently served as President of the Wilderness Trace Townhouse Association.

Her survivors include her husband, John R. Bradshaw, Jr.; sons, Wayne Grubbs of Junction City and Denis (Kristi) Grubbs of Danville; and six grandchildren: Tobi Price, Kathy Webb, Hannah (Tom) Shafer, Hayden (Kayla) Grubbs, Mia Grubbs, and Charli Grubbs.
