Obituary

Lilburn Oval King, 90, of Junction City passed away Monday, January 13, 2025.  Born October 29, 1934, he was the son of the late James Wesley and Monnie Fancy Murphy King. In addition to his parents, Lilburn was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Sue Coffman King; brothers:  Theodore, Loyall, Noble, J.C. and Daryl King; sisters:  Gertrude Peyton, Decie King, and Mary Ann Mesmer; son-in-law, Allen Doud; and great-grandson, Tyler Holbrook.

Lilburn worked in construction building hospitals, hotels, and factories.  He enjoyed playing the guitar.

Lilburn is survived by daughters, Rita (Michael) Dalton of Liberty and Barbara Doud of Junction City; sons: Johnny (Missy) King, Troy (Sherry) King, and Brian (Robin) King, all of Junction City; brothers, Bearl (Wanda) King of Liberty and Thomas (Shirley) King of Lancaster; sister, Aline Coontz of Junction City; 10 grandchildren:  Rachel (Tony) Smith, John (Lena) King, Eric Howard, Cody (Stephanie) Robinson, Kelsey (George) Tatum, Beau (Sydney) Coffman, Sami (Colton) Taylor, Jordan (Angel) Dalton, Christina (Tyler) Pemberton, Laura (Larry) Holbrook, and Dena Doud; and 16 great grandchildren.

Visitation is 5-8 pm, Thursday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home.  Funeral Service is 11 am, Friday with Rev. Lonnie Goodin officiating.  Burial is at Junction City Cemetery. A Guestbook is available at www.wlpruitt.com
