Kimberly Sue Edwards Gilliam, 61, of Danville passed away peacefully Monday, December 25, 2023.  She was born in Danville on December 6, 1962, to Shelba Jean Edwards and the late David Carroll Edwards.  In addition to her father, Kim was preceded in death by her husband, James "Jay" Boyd Gilliam; her son, Josh Gilliam; father-in-law, Boyd Gilliam; and brother-in-law, Mike Gilliam.

She is survived by daughter, Megan (Kyle) Lyons of Danville; mother, Shelba Jean Edwards; brother, Wayne (Cindy) Edwards; sister and caregiver, Nancy Love; 4 grandchildren: Landon, Beau, Maggie, and Kit Lyons; mother-in-law, Linda Gilliam; brothers-in-law: Mark (Susan) Gilliam and Robert (Mitzi) Gilliam; sister-in-law, Rhonda Gilliam; lifelong best friend, Sue Reed; and several nieces and nephews.

Kim loved being outside and camping. She was a wonderful Gigi and spoiled her grandchildren every chance she got. She loved to laugh and enjoyed making others laugh. She also enjoyed vacationing and taking pictures.

Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 28, 2023, at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home with Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 29, 2023, with Bro. Jeremy Gilliam officiating. Burial will follow at Parksville Cemetery.
