Kenneth Ronald Pemberton, 87, of Junction City passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021.  Born August 5, 1934, he was the son of the late George Pemberton and Ruby Lee Smith Pemberton Propes.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Ramona Gayle Pemberton and a granddaughter, Gabriel Stinnett.

Kenneth had owned his own drag car and liked to drag race.  He also liked to go watch dirt track racing, enjoyed watching NASCAR and loved to trade cars.

Kenneth is survived by his wife of 52 years, Lucy Deanna Moore Pemberton; daughters: Teresa (Steve) Stinnett of Moreland, Renae (Scottie) Pemberton- Shelton (Scottie Shelton) of Moreland, and Christy (Del) Asher of TN; sons, Dwight Pemberton of Stanford and Randy Pemberton of Garrard County; sister, Vivian Goldsberry of IN; 11 grandchildren, including Courtney, Tori, Kendall, Tambra, Amanda, Kenneth David, Katelyn, Jeffrey, and Jacob; and 5 great grandchildren.

Visitation is 11am-2pm, Thursday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home.  A Funeral Service will follow at 2 pm with Rev. Ronnie Russell and Rev. Lonnie Goodin officiating. Pallbearers are Del Asher, David Asher, Steve Stinnett, Scottie Shelton, Dallas Sheffield, Todd Pemberton, and Stevie Moore. Burial is in Junction City Cemetery.
