Kathy L. Charles, 58 of Kentucky, passed away March 21, 2026, in Kentucky at her home. She was born April 1, 1967, in Rushville to the late William C. Griffin and Martha (Coffey) Griffin Dunaway. Kathy was a 1984 graduate of Connersville High School. She married Kent Charles October 27, 1990, and he survives.

Kathy worked as a seamstress at Jackson Chair in Danville, Kentucky. She also stayed home and watched her nieces and nephews. She helped raise her niece, Skylar, nephew, Jordan, and her great-nephew, Kaiden. Kathy thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family. Kathy enjoyed traveling, visiting yard sales, and shopping at flea markets.

In addition to her husband, Kent, she is survived by her siblings, Crystal (Keith) Campbell, Darlene Kittle, Pam Crowe, Brenda (Mike) Davis, Pat Lockhart, Ronnie (Laura) Dunaway, Darrell (Debbie) Dunaway, Denny (Christal) Dunaway and Ron Hemingway. She will also be missed by a host of nieces and nephews.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, stepdad, Glen Dunaway, sister, Patricia Ritchie, brothers-in-law, Tony Ritchie, Dave Crowe, and Ed Kittle.

Services will be held Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at 1 PM in Moster Mortuary with Pastor Jeff Edwards presiding. Friends are welcome to visit the family from Noon until the time of service in the mortuary. Burial will be held in Everton Cemetery.
