Ethel June McCarty Weiant, 84, of Junction City passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2022. Born in Washington, New Jersey on June 20, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Bessie McCarty. Ethel was preceded in death by her husband Donald H. Weiant; daughters: Donna Weiant and Debbie Paul; and sister, Eunice Walters.

June was a member of the First Church of God, Harrodsburg Road in Danville.  She was retired from Timberland.

She is survived by 5 daughters: Mary Ann (Randy)Mays of Lancaster, Robbin Lambert of Junction City, Patty Weiant of Junction City, Sandy (Lonnie) Hacker of Harrodsburg, and Terri (William) Johnson of Junction City; 2 brothers: Frank "Peanut" McCarty of Massachusetts and Michael McCarty of Warsaw; 2 sisters: Cynthia Rosado of Florida and Henrietta McCarty of New Jersey; 16 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is 11am-1pm, Thursday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home.  Funeral Service will follow at 1pm with Bro. Mike Cox officiating.  Burial is in Moreland Cemetery. Grandsons: Neil Silverthorn, Michael Weiant, TJ Rice, Dillon Hacker, Daniel Sexton, Hunter Hacker, and Tyler Johnson will be pallbearers.  A Guestbook is available at www.wlpruitt.com.
