Judith Jordan
Clancy
Sep 11, 1942 — Nov 12, 2023
Harrodsburg
It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Judith "Judy" Jordan Clancy, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who left us on November 12, 2023. Born in Lexington, KY on September 11, 1942, she was daughter to the late Earl Boyd Jordan and Georgia Jackson Jordan. Judy was the cherished wife of William "Bill" Clancy, with whom she shared a life full of love and companionship. Their bond was a source of strength and inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to witness it. Judy met Bill while attending the University of Kentucky. After starting a family and raising her children, she later graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a BS in Accounting. She was a Certified Public Account and held a real estate license in the State of Kentucky. She was a beacon of integrity and professionalism. She also owned several small businesses and was very active in the Lexington, KY business community. Judy had a kind and compassionate spirit that resonated with everyone she encountered. Her generosity, wisdom, and gentle nature will be dearly missed. In addition to her role as a loving wife and mother, Judy was a person of many passions and interests. She loved horses, antiques, and the watching the ocean waves. Her life was marked by a commitment to her family, a love for her dogs, and a joy in creating a home filled with hospitality. Judy is survived by her husband, Bill; her five children: Kathryn Mitchell (Charles), Jennifer Nipp (Bill), Jere Clancy, Julia Antrim (Brad), and Jordan Clancy (Ashley); her nine grandchildren: Sarah (Davin), Samuel, Seth, Jordan, Billy (Kjelson), Abby, Alex, Arin, and Wilder; and five great-grandchildren: Kiersten, Eleanor, Alice, Madelyn, and Seth Jr. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering support will continue to guide them through life's journey. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and compassion that will be remembered. Besides parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers: Earl Boyd Jr. and Richard Jordan; and a son, Daniel Bruce. A private memorial service to celebrate Judy's life will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children in Judy's memory. May she rest in peace.
