Joyce Allene Phillips Prewitt, 91, of Danville passed away Friday, August 21, 2026. She was born on May 1, 1935, to the late Donald Phillips and Martha Schlachter Phillips.

She was a homemaker and member of Indian Hills Christian Church.

Joyce is survived by daughter, Debbie (Jimmy) Hood of Danville; son, Dennis Prewitt of Boyle County; sister, Bonnie Henry of Junction City; grandchildren: Dathan Prewitt (Cheyenne) and Jennifer Steele of Danville; and 8 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Frank Prewitt, and brother, Donald Phillips.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at 1 PM with visitation beginning at 11:00 AM until the time of the service at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. Rev. Jim Cooper will officiate. Burial will follow in Junction City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jim Hood, Dennis Prewitt, Dathan Prewitt, Troy, Ricky, and Zach Henry, and Wayne Reinsmith.
