Jonathan DeWayne "Bubby" Ursprung, 50, of Junction City passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2022.  Born November 24, 1971, he was the son of Patricia Coffman McGuire and the late Gerald Ursprung.

Jonathan loved cooking barbecue and had owned Bubby's Barbecue.  He was very "crafty" – a skilled woodworker, he made everyone laugh, and never met a stranger.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son, Jonah Ursprung (Sierra Smith) of Danville; sisters, Tonya Ursprung of Junction City and Kennetha McGuire of Covington; nieces and nephews, including Katie Ursprung, Zoe Ursprung, and Ethan McGuire and Grayson; stepbrothers, Kenny McGuire of Crab Orchard and Barry (Karen) McGuire of Wisconsin; and stepdaughters, Kirstin League and Genna Wethington.
