Johnny Stephen Long, 80, of Hustonville passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024. Born May 10, 1944, he was the son of the late Albert Long and Norma Baker Stein.

Johnny was a life-long farmer and drove a school bus for Casey County schools.  He was a member of Hustonville Baptist Church.  Johnny was a loving and devoted husband, dad, and pa.  He loved to spend time with his family.

Johnny is survived by his wife of 60 years, Phyllis Coffman Long; daughters, Nona (Jimmy) Estridge of Owensboro and Norma Atwood of Eubank; brother, Irvin "Tob" (Ann) Long of Stanford; grandchildren: Levi (Katie) Atwood of Kings Mt, Jacob Estridge of Bowling Green, and Laura (Matt) Dowell of Owensboro; 2 great grandchildren, Eliana Dowell and Elijah Dowell; 2 sisters-in-law, Anita (Jeff) Baker of Lincoln County and Patricia (Rick) Cummins of McKinney; and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Johnny was also preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Taylor and brothers, David Long and Clark Long.

Visitation is 12-3 pm Sunday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. Funeral Service will follow at 3 pm Sunday with Bro. Andrew McGinnis officiating. Burial is at Hustonville Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Matt Dowell, Jimmy Estridge, Jacob Estridge, Levi Atwood, Jeff Baker, Shawn Cook, Craig Griffin, Glenn Atwood, and Jimmy Black. Honorary Pallbearers are John Hester, Freeman Maples, and Jeff McGill.
