John Burnett Davis, 94, passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2021 at his home in Vero Beach, Florida.  John was raised in Hustonville, KY on a farm with his parents, Clay P. and Nancy M. Davis and siblings.  He graduated from Hustonville High School and farmed in Lincoln County for many years.  He served as one of general McCarty's Honor Guards in Tokoyo, Japan.  In 1950, after marrying his wife, Georgiabelle Walton, he continued farming until he and his family moved to Vero Beach, Fl where he retired from Piper Aircraft.  He was of Presbyterian faith, an avid camper and fisherman.  His children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren filled his life, and they loved him as well.

Survivors include his sons, John B. Davis, Jr, of TX and Gary L. Davis of CA; daughter, Nancy D. Yates (Henry) of Vero Beach; three grandchildren: Nora Bryant of GA, Travis Hunter of Vero Beach, and Christopher Davis of AZ; and six great grandchildren:  Emily and Andrew Bryant, Benjamin and Oliver Davis, and Claire Hunter.

In addition to his parents, John was also preceded in death by his wife, Georgiabelle and grandson, Eric.

A private graveside service was held at the Hustonville Cemetery with Robert Camenisch officiating.
