Bobby Joe Lawhorn, 65, of Junction City passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2024.  Born December 22, 1958, he was the son of the late Robert Lawhorn and Lydia Pearl Barlow Slone.

Joe seemed to never meet a stranger. His lighthearted, joke cracking personality made him easy to like, and easy to know. Joe was a hard worker that took pride in his business, maintaining relationships with many of his customers for decades. However, what Joe was most proud of was his family, and he thought his grandkids hung the moon! In his free time, he enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing, sports (especially UK basketball), watching westerns, and hanging out with his buddies at Shell.

Joe is survived by his children: Joey (Jessica) Lawhorn of Lancaster, Jen Curtis of Lexington, and Casey (Shelbi) Lawhorn of Clearwater, FL; brother, Larry Lawhorn of OH; sister, Alisa "Binky" Bradshaw of OH; and 6 grandchildren:  Shepherd Lawhorn, Major Lawhorn, Reece Lawhorn, Breaker Lawhorn, Chapel Lawhorn, and Navy Curtis.

Visitation is 4-7 pm, Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home.  A Memorial Service will directly follow at 7 pm.  A Guestbook is available at www.wlpruitt.com.
