Joe Daniel "Jody" McCowan, 59, of Hustonville passed away on Friday, April 30, 2021.  Born September 23, 1961, he was the son of Pat Southerland McCowan of Harrodsburg and the late Joe Daniel McCowan.  Jody is a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He had worked in management at Honeywell.

Jody is survived by his wife of 41 years, Pam Russell McCowan; sons, Josh (Brittany) McCowan of Stanford and Jeremy (Holly) McCowan of Hustonville; five grandchildren:  Caedmon, Annaleigh, Carson, Colby, and Merek; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by a sister, Lisa Ellis.

Visitation is 5-8 pm Monday at New Hope Baptist Church.  Funeral service is 11 am Tuesday with Bro. David Fralix officiating.  Burial is in Hustonville Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Allen Ryan, Mike Southerland, Jimmy Kersey, Mike Russell, Jimmy Hazlett, and Nehemiah Wilkinson.  Honorary pallbearers are Brian Ellis, Eddie McCowan, Wayne Russell, Mark Russell, Genie Dunn, and Read Baierlein.
