Joan Hafley Ellis, 90, of Danville, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025. Born in Ellisburg on August 10, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Alice Coffman Hafley.

Joan was a long-time member of Ellisburg Baptist Church. She retired from Genesco after working for 35 years. Joan enjoyed sewing, camping, and her pets.

Joan is survived by her son, Mitchell (Ginny) Ellis, of Danville; sister, Gail Graybeal of Harrodsburg; grandchildren: Matthew Ellis, and Amber (Stephen) Fowler; great-grandchild, Emma Fowler; and a special friend, Dorothy Beldon.

In addition to her parents, Joan is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Elwood Ellis; brother, Lyle Hafley; brother-in-law, Harold Graybeal.

Visitation is 11:00 AM-1:00 PM, Friday at W. L. Pruitt Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Friday at 1:00 PM with Dr. J. Timothy Mathis officiating. Burial will follow in Hustonville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tommy Mills, Darrell Rice, Jimmie Reed, Tom Graham, Stephen Fowler, Matthew Ellis, and Larry Barker. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dorothy Beldon, Amber Fowler, Emma Fowler, Jackie Fowler, and Cindy Pinkston.
