Jerry Kenneth Steere, Jr., 59, of Mackville passed away on June 3, 2024.  Born January 5, 1965, in San Fernando, California, he was the son of the late Jerry Kenneth and Carol Brown Steere.

Jerry loved history, especially Civil War history.  He liked to attend Civil War reenactments and had previously participated in them. He loved animals and animals loved him. While in California, he once worked for a Wildlife refuge making cages.  The wild animals would come up to him wanting him to scratch their backs. He collected comic books and used to attend Renaissance Fairs in California.  He loved his family.  One of his last favorite memories of time spent with his brothers before moving here was going gold panning with them.  Some of his fondest memories and stories he shared from his younger years were of times riding motorcycles on off road trails and spending time with his best friend, Mark Cornelus.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 23 years, Trisha Lynn Marvin Steere; daughter, Rebecca Steere of Mackville; brothers, Kenny (Andrea) Steere and Paul Steere, both of CA; sister, Ellen Cowell of Colorado; mother-in-law, Doris "Dory" Marvin of Utah; and his sisters-in-law: Sandra Saunders of Harrodsburg, Catherine (Cliston) Ivey of Utah, and Eveline (Erick) Guzman of Utah; brother-in-law, Thomas (Adimika) Marvin of California.
